All our fertility journeys are different – yet there are underlying themes that we collectively experience. I trust that my story of how I arrived to holding two little humans in my arms – both under 2 years old – brings you inspiration and hope. I also want you all to know that I walk in this path with you – I see you, I get you, and I’m here to support you.
Deciding that I wanted to have kids didn’t come to me until I was 35 – and I see this to be the case for many people as we work on our careers or just aren’t quite ready to commit to the lifestyle change that children bring.
I did all of my fertility treatment in Germany, which in and of itself makes for an interesting story – especially when you hardly speak a word of German and live in a town that is old Eastern Germany and anyone over 30 years old only speaks Russian as a second language.
My story will take you through our experiences of IUI, pregnancy loss, IVF, unsuccessful cycles, and eventually the blessings that are my two sons.
I am not a religious person – but I do consider myself spiritual and much of that spirituality that I know now, was activated from my fertility experiences. And these experiences inform how I show up to teach fertility yoga to you every week.
This podcast is brought to by Fertile Body Yoga – a virtual yoga studio dedicated to supporting the body, mind, and soul of those navigating their fertility journeys.
