Got a Frozen Embryo Transfer in your future and wondering what yoga poses after the embryo transfer will be safe and heighten the chances of a successful cycle? Keep reading to find out everything you should know about yoga for frozen embryo transfer.
Yoga is an amazing holistic support system for your transfer cycle – physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically. Not to mention the nervous system support that fertility yoga can it provide is so needed during this often stressful time.
And after all the effort, love, and energy you’ve put in up to this point to prepare for your – you’re wondering if there are any yoga poses for embryo implantation.
You can definitely do a lot to support your chances of pregnancy as well as move through this time with some ease and a lot less stress.
But the trick is to start your yoga practice BEFORE the actual transfer.
The Yoga For Frozen Embryo Transfer Program is well loved by my students and created specifically for this 3-4 week window of your transfer – starting from after your bleed, through the transfer days and including the 2week wait. ***Please note – this is for FETs – NOT FRESH CYCLES that happen right after an egg retrieval!
Here’s How You Do Yoga For a Frozen Embryo Transfer!
Phase 1 – prepping for the transfer:
- focus on enhancing what the medications are doing or your body is doing naturally at this time in your cycle – creating a healthy, luscious, nutrified endometrium for you embryo
- a more active yoga asana practice (more blood flowing) with pressure/release poses like closed twists and belly bolsters is called for at this time. Fresh blood comes rushing in to the uterus when you release the pressure
- a meditation that takes you to visualizing an inviting, receptive and open space for your child
- getting your mind in the game with cultivating hope and trust in a realistic way
Phase 2 – The transfer days:
- The goal for this time is to chill out for however long your doctor tells you (it varies between doctors and situations) AND keep your nervous system in the rest, digest, and REPRODUCE state (parasympathetic)
- Specific restorative yoga postures at this time support the process by giving your body the green light for reproduction as the stress hormones decrease and the sex hormones take center stage
- Meditate and visualize your embryo landing within you as you create welcoming energy
- embrace using your energy wisely and mindfully to match this very short window of the cycle with ease and gentleness.
Phase 3 – The 2 week wait (but really…9 days until the first beta)
- The focus here is to allow for gentle movement in and around the pelvis to avoid stagnation – with the aim of bringing good healthy blood flow and energy into and around the uterus. This is also a bit of a mental game
- Yoga asana practice will be safe for this period of time – no twists or pressure on the pelvic area
- gentle movement of the pelvis to maintain the blood and energy flow
- Meditation takes you to visualizing your embryo laying deep roots and settling in for a 9 month stay
- Lessons in finding an anchor to keep you grounded and steady during the 2 week wait
I know that’s a lot – and that’s why I have this program for you – so you don’t have to think about any of it. You just need to show up for yourself and your baby – which I know you can do because you’ve gotten this far.
It’s on demand and you get life time access ✨ Check out what this student had to say about the program!
“The Frozen Embryo Transfer program was a life-saver for me. I had done 3 rounds of IVF, all unsuccessful. I started researching what I could do to support this very pivotal time in the process and found Kerry and her FET program. With such a beautiful blend of yoga and meditation, I felt supported and guided to navigate these stressful times with less stress! And yes! The transfer was successful and I am now holding my baby in my arms. Definitely worth every penny.”
